Although I have only used Sand-Free a couple of times, I have started carrying out a dung test in the months in between as detailed in the Feedmark 'Understanding Sand Colic' article and the amount of sand remaining is lower than a 1/2 teaspoon. I will continue to use Sand-Free as I have been using Feedmark supplements for over 20 years now and they really do work!!

I had tried dozens of supplements and prescriptive medications for faecal water syndrome in my 29 year old TB. Nothing worked and his age meant I was adamant I didn’t want him scoped. I contacted FEEDMARK and they recommended sand free. It wasn’t in my radar but when it was explained what the product does (absorbs extra water in the gut) I knew it was worth a try! Finally, a company whose only focus is on animal health and knows what they’re selling! Thank you from me and from Finnegan!!

I had been really concerned about what was causing the faecal water problem with my TG cob. I kept thinking it was the richness of the hay, it the new grass, but then I remembered reading about a problem with sandy ground some years ago.
Thankfully I did, because that led me to Feedmark Sand Free. Just two weeks ago, I was having to wash my pony's hind legs every day and was despairing. Very soon after starting on Sand Free, my pony improved and for the last two days he's had lovely clean hind legs. Fabulous!

Nice and fine, so easy to hide in the feed of a suspicious horse! Fed as a precaution due to restricted grazing on dry clay ground, so dusty and bitty. Fair price to pay to keep mind at ease from sand colic

With the very hot weather the grass is now very short. My horse had sand colic some years ago and a regular course of psyllium husks helps eradicate any sand he may have eaten.

Psylium husks are very dusty and despite lots of chaff they tend to be left at the bottom of the bucket. Poor for horses with breathing issues. To be supplied in a different form would be beneficial.

Información nutricional

Las cáscaras de psyllium se han utilizado tradicionalmente en humanos y son una opción de manejo reconocida para caballos con cargas de arena. Como fuente de fibra soluble, las cáscaras de psyllium forman una sustancia similar a un gel cuando se exponen al agua. Las propiedades absorbentes de agua del psyllium significan que actúa como una esponja hidroscópica, lo que le permite recoger y ayudar a eliminar materiales extraños no deseados (como arena y fibras no digeribles) de los pliegues y curvas del tracto digestivo.

1 cucharada rasa (150 ml) de cáscaras de psyllium pesa aproximadamente 50 g

La cantidad por día es la tasa de alimentación de mantenimiento recomendada. Este nivel de alimentación de Psyllium Husks actúa como un suplemento preventivo.

Alimenta durante 5 días consecutivos, cada 2 meses

Siga las pautas de alimentación recomendadas, asegurándose de que el producto no entre en contacto con líquidos. Cuando sea posible, coloque capas entre el alimento seco. El acceso a agua limpia y fresca debe estar disponible en todo momento. Se puede alimentar durante períodos de tiempo más largos o en dosis más altas junto con el consejo veterinario.

Almacenamiento: Guárdelo en un recipiente hermético lejos de la luz solar directa

Los complementos alimenticios deben administrarse según el peso corporal, dividiéndolos entre las tomas (cuando corresponda).
