Feedmark Celebrated At The Animal Health Trust’s Equestrian Awards.

Feedmark recently celebrated equestrian excellence at the Animal Health Trust’s Equestrian Awards.

If you’ve been following our recent activity, you’ll be aware that we have partnered with the fantastic UK charity, the Animal Health Trust, to aid in their mission to help millions of horses, dogs and cats across the world live healthier, happier lives through their vital research.

As part of this exciting partnership, we were the main sponsor of the AHT UK Equestrian Awards this year, which were held at the prestigious Landmark Hotel in London. Stars from the equine world gathered for this celebratory evening, along with the President of the Animal Health Trust, HRH The Princess Royal, who presented the awards to the various winners including professional riders from multiple disciplines, talented trainers and veterinarians.

These awards marked achievements from all areas of equestrian sport, and we were honoured to announce the winner of the Feedmark Dressage Award which was voted for by our very own Feedmark customers. The winner in this Dressage category was Gareth Hughes who recently cemented his place amongst the world’s elite when he finished best of the British riders in the Special and Freestyle at this year’s FEI European Dressage Championships in Rotterdam.

The winner of the Feedmark Dressage Award was Gareth Hughes.

Collecting the award on Gareth's behalf was his wife, Rebecca Hughes.

As a ‘thankyou’ to our wonderful Feedmark customers, we held a competition on social media where the lucky winners were invited to join us in attending this regal event. They were treated to a champagne reception, followed by fabulous food before the awards ceremony and they also rubbed shoulders with the likes of Zara Tindall and Bubby Upton of the eventing world.

The evening was a huge success and continues to be an essential fundraiser for the Animal Health Trust. Every penny of profit raised by the charity is reinvested into its important research and the development of industry leading science and care for animals.

When the much loved jockey, Frankie Dettori, took to the stage to accept his International Racing Award, he eloquently said something to which we can all relate:

“We’re all here for one thing; horses have given us happiness, jobs and purpose in life.”

“Most things in the world today are on computers and phones, we’re lucky we still have something beautiful to share and enjoy.”

Popular jockey, Frankie Dettori, won the International Racing Award.

The annual AHT UK Equestrian Awards continues to grow in size and stature, attracting high profile equestrian guests and increasing awareness of the incredible work carried out by the Animal Health Trust to help ensure that our horses and ponies remain as happy and healthy as possible.
