With the very hot weather the grass is now very short. My horse had sand colic some years ago and a regular course of psyllium husks helps eradicate any sand he may have eaten.

Does the job, currently on very sandy soil and not worth the risk of sand colic. Only wish there was an option for a refill bag, currently only available in a tub.

Used it for years and only use the Feedmark psyllium. It works really well and gets rid of sand almost instantly - highly recommended

Gives reassurance. All horse carers need to be more aware of the dangers of sand colic, even if they think the land isn’t sandy.

Psylium husks are very dusty and despite lots of chaff they tend to be left at the bottom of the bucket. Poor for horses with breathing issues. To be supplied in a different form would be beneficial.

Flohsamenschalen werden traditionell beim Menschen verwendet und sind eine anerkannte Behandlungsoption für Pferde mit Sandbelastung. Als lösliche Ballaststoffquelle bilden Flohsamenschalen eine gelartige Substanz, wenn sie Wasser ausgesetzt werden. Die wasserabsorbierenden Eigenschaften von Psyllium bedeuten, dass es wie ein hydroskopischer Schwamm wirkt, der es ihm ermöglicht, unerwünschte Fremdstoffe (wie Sand und unverdauliche Ballaststoffe) aus den Falten und Biegungen des Verdauungstrakts aufzunehmen und bei deren Entfernung zu unterstützen.

Die Menge pro Tag ist die empfohlene Erhaltungsfütterungsrate. Diese Fütterungsmenge von Flohsamenschalen dient als vorbeugende Ergänzung.

Alle 2 Monate an 5 aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen füttern

Befolgen Sie die empfohlenen Fütterungsrichtlinien und stellen Sie sicher, dass das Produkt nicht mit Flüssigkeiten in Kontakt kommt. Nach Möglichkeit zwischen Trockenfutter schichten. Der Zugang zu sauberem, frischem Wasser sollte jederzeit verfügbar sein. Kann in Verbindung mit tierärztlicher Beratung über einen längeren Zeitraum oder in höheren Dosierungen gefüttert werden.

Lagerung: In einem luftdichten Behälter vor direkter Sonneneinstrahlung schützen

Nahrungsergänzungsmittel sollten entsprechend dem Körpergewicht verfüttert werden, gegebenenfalls aufgeteilt auf die einzelnen Futtermittel.

Flohsamenschalen sind ein Ergänzungsfuttermittel für Pferde. Feedmark verwendet bei der Formulierung dieses Produkts nichts, was gegen die Wettbewerbsregeln verstößt.
