With the very hot weather the grass is now very short. My horse had sand colic some years ago and a regular course of psyllium husks helps eradicate any sand he may have eaten.

Does the job, currently on very sandy soil and not worth the risk of sand colic. Only wish there was an option for a refill bag, currently only available in a tub.

Used it for years and only use the Feedmark psyllium. It works really well and gets rid of sand almost instantly - highly recommended

Gives reassurance. All horse carers need to be more aware of the dangers of sand colic, even if they think the land isn’t sandy.

Psylium husks are very dusty and despite lots of chaff they tend to be left at the bottom of the bucket. Poor for horses with breathing issues. To be supplied in a different form would be beneficial.

Informazioni nutrizionali

Le bucce di psillio sono state utilizzate tradizionalmente negli esseri umani e rappresentano un'opzione di gestione riconosciuta per i cavalli con carichi di sabbia. Come fonte di fibre solubili, le bucce di psillio formano una sostanza gelatinosa quando esposte all'acqua. Le proprietà di assorbimento dell'acqua dello psillio fanno sì che agisca come una spugna idroscopica, consentendogli di raccogliere e favorire la rimozione di materiale estraneo indesiderato (come sabbia e fibre indigeribili) dalle pieghe e dalle anse del tratto digestivo.

1 misurino raso (150 ml) di bucce di psillio pesa circa 50 g

La quantità giornaliera è la velocità di alimentazione di mantenimento consigliata. Questo livello di alimentazione di bucce di psillio funge da integratore preventivo.

Alimentazione per 5 giorni consecutivi, ogni 2 mesi

Seguire le linee guida di alimentazione consigliate, assicurandosi che il prodotto non venga a contatto con i liquidi. Ove possibile, stratificare tra il mangime secco. L’accesso all’acqua fresca e pulita dovrebbe essere sempre disponibile. Può essere somministrato per periodi di tempo più lunghi o a dosi più elevate in collaborazione con il consiglio veterinario.

Conservazione: conservare in un contenitore ermetico lontano dalla luce solare diretta

Gli integratori alimentari devono essere somministrati in base al peso corporeo, suddividendoli tra i mangimi (quando applicabile).

Psyllium Husks è un mangime complementare per equini. Feedmark non utilizza nulla nella formulazione di questo prodotto che contravvenga alle regole della concorrenza.
